With all the eclipse talk on FB and the news, there have been a lot of folks outside to watch.

I saw a couple on their front lawn, in recliners, watching the eclipse....

....with those old paper 3D glasses that they gave out free at 3D movies in the 80's.

I bet they are in the ER in a few hours.....gonna feel like sand in their eyes.

The bar of stupid has been lowered.....

They'll probably call 911 and need an ambulance.

Crawled out of the shower at 9:30. Why is it so dark? Lol.The cold day inspired me to get in the garage and box in and insulate the plumping I replaced that froze in the subzero cold last winter. It's now part of the heated house-whew!

The local library was giving away sun viewing glasses that look just like the old 3-D glasses. They may have been the using those.

Steve, I'm pretty sure that these were leftover 3D glasses. One lens was red, the other blue.

Then again, who knows, maybe they do provide enough protection from UV rays to do some good.

The recliners were a nice touch though. I wonder how long they thought that the event would last?

At least they weren't using a magnifying glass. ;)

I wanted to watch but our county fair started today and the fair parade was yesterday, same time as the eclipse. And we had the 2, 6 yr old grandtwins. Had to keep 'em corralled and outta the street so I didn't get to watch the eclipse much. But did get to peek a few times thru the $1.29 "eclipse glasses" purchased @ the local hardware store. They work! Keepin 'em for the total next April. And they do look a lot like the 3-d glasses of old.
