Trying to find some load data for a 40S&W, 180 grain Nosler hollow point
with WST.
Looked around a bit but can't seem to find an exact match anywhere.

Has anyone tried this combo?

Found on handloads.com
A 180 gr jacketed hollow point with the starting point of
4.5gr and a max of 5gr

But on hodgdonreloading.com
a 180 gr HDY XTP has the starting point of
3.9gr and a max of 4.3gr

Seems a bit confusing

I would start with the lesser loads.
From another forum (The Highroad):
"Now days all I use for my 40s&w loads for practice, and Competition is Winchester WST. I LOVE WST. Oh did I tell you I LOVE WST. It's has a little softer recoil, and a lot cleaner than W231. WST is a ball powder like W231, and meters well also. I load 3.9gr under 180gr Berry's RSFP for winter IDPA matches, and 4.1gr under 180gr Berry's RSFP for summer. WST is a little reverse temp sensitive ( gains pressure in cold temps, and reduces presure in hot temps), but not bad."
This is in line with the Hodgdon recommendations.
FWIW Hodgdon lists 4.4 to 4.9 grains under the Berry plated flat point 180 COAL 1.125".
