I would prefer someone locally in order to inspect the item firsthand as my primary source (and save on shipping and transfer fees), but knowing this will ultimately limit my selection I would also field remote offers.

Looking for a Model 29 with a 6 1/2 inch barrel (but am interested in the 8 inch as well) and blued.
As far as price, I did a search on GunBroker for completed auctions for the Model 29 the past 30 days and ordered from the highest to lowest price to make things easier. Although one or two sold on the high end the majority sold for a decent price between $650 & $700 and the sellers had to deal with GunBroker fees. Since I am really only interested in the firearm and not paperwork or box, this price should still produce a mint condition Model 29. I hope. I would not disregard the box if the price is right.
I am not interested in any with the trigger lock.
