WTK: 9mm Ammo

A friend of mine found a stash of 9mm ammo under his workbench, said he picked up at a gunshow in the 90's...any idea what this is and is it OK to shoot? These are pictures of the markings on the boxes.

He is afraid to shoot it, he seems to remember being told when he bought it that it was for submachine guns - he had an Uzi at the time which he has since sold and he thinks he bought it for that. Any help?

Looks like Egyptian military surplus. Lots of it sold at gun shows for
a while back in the 90s. I still have a few boxes. Mine is corrosive
primed 115 gr FMJ and is pretty hot, about 1250 fps in my Browning HP.
Don't know what sub gun velocities run but this stuff surely must be
in the +P range.

I bought/sold cases of that stuff in my shop back in the early '90s. Yeah , Egyptian or something. Lots of it came back with people crying "DUD!' And yes , it did have very hard or thick primers and most modern pistols would hardly dent it.

It all went bang in my BHP and Star 30M though.

Hot stuff , and fairly accurate too. And yes it was corrosive.

I bought a bunch of it back when--it was cheap (its one virtue)--and shot it through a SIG P225 and a Benelli B76. The SIG handled it just fine, but the Benelli needed two strikes to pop the primer on most rounds. It was definitely corrosive, and I stopped shooting it. After years of it taking up space in the ammo locker, I finally just threw the dang stuff away.
