SPF:Ultra rare 1941 colt detective special square butt ser#474733. Colt stopped the square butt in 1933. The only square butt after that were special ordered by the military. In the top corner above the cylinder release is a small punch mark which was a common military marking. 38spl ctg and a brittish proof mark is stamped into the left side of the barrel. I was told this was done in Britain because the common round was the 38sw and they wanted to make sure they didn't use the wrong ammunition. The gun is in great shape. I'd say bluing is a solid 90-95%. Small amount of holster wear at muzzle and on a few sharp edges. $1300 shipped
