All,
Up for sale is my Smith and Wesson pre-war Heavy Duty with the scarce 6.5'' barrel. SN: 44849. The letter which is included, states it was shipped October 29, 1934 to California Hardware Co. in Los Angeles, CA. The cylinder has not been reamed to accept .357 Magnum.
No box or papers. The grips do not match the gun and appear to be 40492.
This was purchased from Aspenhill1's collection in late 2016. Per his email in regards to this barrel length, 88 were shipped, 34 went to Mexico and 16 are known to exist today.
The bluing is magnificent.
I have more photos that can be emailed. Reasonable requests for additional photos I don't have will be taken.
$3250.00 plus actual shipping from my FFL to yours. C&R eligible eligible as well. I will ship from my FFL regardless.
My FFL will ship to CA, pending handguns over 50 years old are still exempt from the DOJ approved handgun list. He will ship to other ban states if permitted. An email from your FFL to mine that says they'll accept the gun and you're eligible to have it transferred to you is required if you're a non-peace officer in a ban state.
If the price is out of line or not fair, let me know. A three day, non-firing inspection is included. All shipping to and from and any and all fees are the responsibility of the buyer. Complete payment up front is required.
Located in Northern CO for FTF.
I would like to sell this to a forum member and not take it to GB.
Please see my feedback here and feedback on calguns under the same handle as well as ar15.com as 2086.
