British Service Revolver, Aussie Issue Still Available
Number 1) *SOLD* S&W Victory Model. Cal. .38 S&W Special, 4” barrel. U.S. NAVY SHIPPED to Oakland CA on 6/22/43. Excellent overall retaining at least 95% of the original Midnight Black finish with a little storage staining on the cylinder and grip strap behind the trigger guard. Hard to see unless you are looking for it. Also a few tiny dings above the locking lug pin on the left side of barrel, see photos. Perfect mechanically, bright sharp bore. Clean in and out. 100% matching serial numbers including the smooth walnut Service Stocks. Flaming Bomb U.S. PROPERTY G.H.D. marked on top strap. This is a very presentable example of a genuine U.S. Navy shipping location Victory Model and not the usual D.S.C. type.

Number 2) **Sold Pending Funds** S&W British Service Revolver AUSTRALIAN ISSUE. AKA Revolver, .38 in. Smith & Wesson Number 2 (.38/200 Service Revolver). Cal. .38 Smith & Wesson (NOT .38 Special), 5” barrel. This is a Lend Lease gun, shipped to the United States Hartford Ordnance Depot, Springfield MA (the Eastern Regional Lend Lease Distribution Center) on 12/8/42 and eventually ended up in Australia. This is one of the imported guns, marked VEGA SAC CA for (Vega, Sacramento California) in small letters above the trigger on the left side. Like the majority of the Australian issue guns, this one underwent an “FTR” (Factory Thorough Repair) inspection, overhaul and possible refinish in 1958 and is so marked on the right side of the frame. All serial numbers match except the stocks which look new, are unnumbered and likely replaced during the FTR process. Bright, sharp bore and perfect mechanics. Marked UNITED STATES PROPERTY on the top strap, with a Flaming Bomb and G.H.D. on the butt and a couple of Broad Arrow stamps here and there. Retains about 98% of the finish, this is a very nice example. See photos.

Please note the following: I have a valid Type 03 C&R license and will be shipping the guns to you via FedEx Next Day Air per their rules if you have a C&R license or to your designated Type 01 FFL. I do not have a friendly local FFL who will put the gun in a Priority Mail box and ship it for $25. Handgun shipping and insurance has been running $75-$90 lately. Please make sure that your FFL will accept the gun from a non-Type 01 C&R licensee. If I ship the gun and it is returned to me because the FFL will not accept it I WILL NOT refund ANY of the shipping costs.
Note: An "I'll take it" trumps someone asking questions and thinking about it.
3 Day inspection period after receipt. Both guns have been accurately described and are nice examples. Please feel free to ask questions. I can take extra photos of each gun if needed.
