Hello,
I am inpspired by "weatherby's" post called "the dark side"....
I have 2 sets of N-Frame Target grips made of Goncalo Alves that I would trade ( + or - cash if needed) for 1 set of nice original S&W Rosewood targets.
The first set are original to my Model 57 which sat in it's presentation since new in 1980. They were dry so I stripped the original finish and applied Teak Oil. The grips were not touched with any sandpaper or tools. All I did was apply about 10 coats of Teak Oil.
The other set I have is the same vintage but have been used. They are not damaged and are very presentable with the original finish still on them. The grain is much nicer too. However, there are two small holes in the bottom where a silver plate had been attached at some point (I assume). I can provide pictures of these, I just don't have any on my computer as I type this.
