WTT King modified 1917 in custom box. Update: No trades came out so will sell, see post below.

This is a 1917 in 45acp which has a King reflector front sight and rear semi-rib installed. The action has been tuned for a very light DA- the cylinder jumps with the slightest pull so that you can advance the cylinder , square the sights up, then finish the pull. The sights are cleanly installed and look like a King job to me. It is a fine shooting gun with the good heft and balance of original but with excellent sights and a trigger job to complete it.

The gun has been refinished some time ago as evidenced by the barrel wear. The refinish is not perfect. They were too aggressive around the side plate and a couple edges are over buffed. They did preserve markings as shown. It looks to me like they were going for an early Colt or S&W mirror type finish with the bluing color itself. It presents silver like in some lighting.

I have not taken the side plate off. A cleaning might make the light action even slicker which would be a feat. It is great currently. Bore is greats shown. Grips are unique old targets that fill the hand well but could be upgraded to something finer to compliment the gun.

I am looking to trade this for a Colt King modified revolver or possibly a non King revolver or Woodsman. I like 22s, 38s and 44 special. Plus cash on either end as needed. Not interested in post war guns. If no trade items come up I will consider a sale price. I would like to give it a week before that happens.

Gun is in CO. I am an C&R licensee. I am happy to provide more info or pics. I want no surprises on either end if a deal is made. Cheers.
