hi , i have a Victory WW2 M& P that the action locks up , if I unlached the cylinder swing it out and re latch it the cylinder , the hammer cannot be cocked ( sometimes ), If i press on the front of the ejection rod , the small tip that hangs out from where the ejection rod locks into the support under the barrel it then works fine . ( somethings hangs up ??)
I have removed the cylinder and rod and have oiled them ,have oiled the spring in the support under the barrel also, still problem persisits , what should I try next ??
all screws are loose in case i have to disassemble .
the cylinder rod is straight , I checked , please post many thanks, robbt

The bolt is not clearing the hammer when you close the cylinder.

Things you will want to check are...The bolt in the frame may be dirty, gummed up, damaged or may have a burr or etc. preventing it from working properly. This is the part the thumbpiece is attached to.

The center pin in the ejector rod may be bent or dirty or it's spring may be weak or broken. This is the part that has the small tip that hangs out from the ejector rod. The back end of it is what pushes the bolt rearward.

The support under the barrel contains the locking bolt, it's pin and spring. Make sure these are all in place and working properly.

If everything else is straight (center pin & ejector rod), clean, burr free and lubed etc,,
....
The crane may be very slightly bent and the center pin is not perfectly alligning with the hole in the recoil shield in the frame everytime.
If the center pin doesn't enter it fully and depress the bolt/thumb piece under spring pressure(when the cylinder is closed),,the hammer is blocked from operating.

Or the hole itself may be burred or blocked with crud and not letting the pin enter easily every time.

Is the back end of the center pin radiused slightly and polished?
