WWB 9mm question

I've never had a problem with WWB in any caliber.
Most of the Winchester bulk I've shot lately is the Q4318 NATO load.
It groups so well in my 5 inch MP9 that I bought 3 cases of it.

Winchester has seemed to slip in some batches of hard primers, I have had a couple fail to fire out of a few hundred fired so far.
But I bought it for practice and range use.

Q4172 uses a hbfmj and is not at all loaded "soft". Very accurate in every 9mm ever owned, largely due to it's hollow base bullet (opinion).

The use of the hollow base bullet used to be limited to the 50 round boxes of Q4172, but Winchesters website seems to indicate that the 100 and 200 round boxes use it also. The older i get, the more things change and seem to remember the "value" boxes of white box used different flat base and brass colored bullets.

Never had any problems with Q4172, but have not bought any in quite some time

...... OTOH, any currently produced NATO 9mm will probably rate at about +P if loaded in Europe, somewhat less from the US manufacturers, right?

NATO ammo is NATO ammo irrespective of where it's produced. So, your European loaded ammo is probably standard pressure by CIP requirements, the US version is slightly above SAAMI pressure for standard 9 mm, not sure if it makes +P. There was a thread on here sometime back where we got deep into the weeds. I do believe I've got the actual NATO spec sheet on another computer. Will look tonight.

As for my personal 9mm ammo launcher, I'm going on the assumption that a "stock" 639 is OK for +P, and since anything I have done in my build would probably strengthen but certainly not weaken it, I should be OK with any civilian market ammo and any milsurp I encounter except for the German sub gun rounds we've discussed. Does that seem to be a fair assessment?

Go to the S&W website and download the owners manual and check what ammo it's rated for in it's original configuration. DON'T ASSUME!
