At the local Gun Show in Douglas, WY this past weekend there were a few treasures that surfaced.
First off it was truly a "Gun Show". Surely wasn't a gun sale weekend. Lots of folks out for the weekend stroll, but they were not shopping.
The Trade of the weekend was a Double Parker Hale 12 ga, hammer gun with Damascus barrels in very nice condition. Obviously well used, but not abused.
Came from Granpa's closet when he passed on.
Got traded for a used Sig Mosquito. Price on the Sig was $315. Safe to say that even for a damascus barreled Parker Hale the value exceeds $315.
And no I didn't get the prize.
Only S&W classic that I came across was an older Model 41 with 7 3/8 barrel and brake attached. Original grips were chipped on the heel but otherwise nice shape. Had just sprung for a "As New" in the box M6904 and didn't have enough cash to grab the M41 and the 6904.
Just wasn't my weekend.
Didn't see any of the rude claim jumping at this show, just wasn't much coming through the door or going out the door either.
Just maybe the next treasure will be a pre war Heavy Duty or Registered Magnum.
Happy Hunting.
