I expect that the areas around Corpus Christi will be hardest hit. Looks like rain will be the biggest problem all along the SE Texas coastal area. I am SW of Houston and it looks like my vacation next week will be soggy, at least for the first half.

Thanks ..will do...
We bugged out yesterday about 1pm.
Back in the Piney Woods.
That storm has the strangest predicted track
I have ever seen.

Storm surge is too difficult to predict.
Beach house is only 6-7 feet above sea level.

Thanks again...

I don't know whether or not the news media has it right, but they are reporting that the storm surge could be as high as twenty feet. If so, our old "stompin' grounds" in Port A are really going to take a hit. The area around Corpus Christi is supposed to have as much as 36 inches of rain in the coming five days. That's an entire year of rainfall.

Glad you're headed west away from the storm. There's some great Texas BBQ waiting for you in Austin.

Our son is reporting that water purchases are limited in amount(restricted) in Austin so that the retail stores can ship it over to the Texans on the coast.

Keep your powder dry and look out for Ringo!

Bill
