Does anyone use them? I'm wondering if they work well with the M&P, and if the larger front sight limits holster choices. Thanks for your input!

I have them on all my handguns carried for defense, and am happy to endorse them. They are not precision aiming equipment, especially on guns like 640s with no actual rear sight, but, provide a big, bold, bright reference for aiming at ranges at which civilians have any business firing at bad guys, or at ranges where dangerous wild animals are too close for long guns. I recommend combining their shallow vee rear "express sight" with the front Big Dot on any platform that will accommodate it. And, take a look at other products, such as the tritium illuminated front post for ARs/etc., and social shotgun sights.

I have them on my M&P and several other guns. Check out the you tube videos on them

I see lots of posts on XS Big Dot sights. For close up, self defense use they are very quick and accurate enough to hit center of mass. They are not precesion target sights. XS Big Dots are on a varity of different carry weapons that I have. Your main concern is what is the intended use for the sights? Self defense, CQC, rapid target engaugement, they are great.
I am presently researching a slightly different version that I will be marketing in the future when all the testing is done.

Here is a post that I did a few weeks ago on the Walther forum

I have tested and used the XS sights for some time. As stated you either love or hate them. I find that for a imperfect sight focus they work well, especialy for close up. Every one will have a different distance where the accuracy will fall off. Fortunatly I have had the ability to purchase and evaluate all the different sight formats out there and evaluate them with tens of thousands of rounds down range.

Here is a poll that I have set up on sights. PPQ/P99 Sight Poll

Pistol sights are like many things you see on the forums. Lots of opinions as to what is best. I have done an extreme amout of research on pistol sights. Outcome being that they are specific as to what type of shooting you will be doing and what light conditions you are shooting in.
I use one sights for precesion shooting and competetion and another for self defense.
When I shoot competition I wear glasses and my sight picture is crystal clear. Also shooting against a all light colored target is different that shooting against a target with a large black center.
All light background a solid black rear and front blade is good as there is a proper contrast. A large black center I would use a fiber optic front sight with a black rear and sometimes a fiber optic 2 dot rear blade. That creates a bright small dot image on the center of the black circle.

Out in public no glasses and my sight vision is no way as good. My sight picture on the sight area is slightly blurred with no defined sharpness. My distance picture from 4 feet and out is clear. That being the case I use a fiber optic/tritium sight on my defense pistols. TFO style. Remember you will be shooting in a varity of light conditions and targer color.

I also train every day with a SIRT training pistol using my defense sight I prefer and shoot at many different senario targets with all different colored shirts. It has a laser emiting beam coming from the barrel of a perfect Glock replica. Same trigger pull, reset tension and distance as a Glock. That way I can get hundreds of draws a week and then go to the range at least once a week or more.

Next Level Training SIRT website

My carry gun is a Glock or PPQ and I will be converting to the PPQ in competition and defense formats. I have both 9mm for target and 40 for concealed carry.

All that being said the answer to the question for LongJohn6284 is analyze what the intended purpose you will be using your PPQ for and that should narrow the sight search.

I do like the XS sights for close up defense shooting, the intended target, (Bad Guy), having many different colored shirts, and ability for quick target/sight aquisition. If they are the cats meow for you???? Only you can decide.

I always take a very scientific approch to picking what sight I use for what type of shooting I am doing.
Hope this helps.

I have heard that they are very good. But after seeing the Trijicaon HDs set on my Shield (just to see if they would fit by the guy doing the trigger work from his M&P FS) I had to go with the HDs instead.
