xxx Red engraved 686

I looked at some guns imported from Europe and among them a Model 29-6 Target Champion I posted a thread on. But this one is something else. It's a 6" 686 that its former owner commissioned the engraving that definitely wasn't done by the factory. Its beautifully done floral pattern overall but the side plate is XXX, talk about true gun porn. This one won't be posted on their website for obvious reasons and I hesitate to post pics of the side plate here as I don't want to upset anyone. But here is the left side of the revolver.
The custom grips are beautiful and I tried to take them off to see if the engraver signed the grip strap. the line separating the two halves is so fine I didn't want to try to insert something to separate them. Talk about the ultimate BBQ revolver.

Nice wood on that, but the engraving really is pretty nice. I don't blame you for not showing off the art on the side. I doubt you'll be giving any range reports anytime soon!

The peek-a-boo at the top of pic 4 probably tells anyone all they need to know. The rule here is "family friendly" (if I remember right). Most of us wouldn't be offended by it, but why bother? Kind of diminishes an otherwise nice firearm, I think (as in, I probably wouldn't hand it to my fictitious 10 year old daughter to shoot).

I already sent a photo of the side plate to an interested forum member. Whoever did the engraving was very skilled, and those custom grips are very high end. It's definitely a one of a kind revolver any red blooded hetero male would get a kick out of owning. Even the women that work at my friends shop thought it was interesting.

Beautifully engraved Model 29! Topless wood nymphs and such can be seen by children in any major art museum in this country. There is a difference between art and pornography. As Justice Potter Stewart so correctly stated "I know it when I see it".

The gun isn't listed online and the sideplate photo was removed by the OP.
