Congratulations, great find. Once upon a time, at a local yard sale, I found a pretty nice snub-nosed Colt (don't recall the model). Paid some ridiculous low price for it, then sold it for a slightly higher ridiculous low price. As with the OP, their out there all you got do is find them. hardcase60

You go to a garbage sale & find a gem. Congratulations that's like hitting the lottery.

Congratulations!!! What more can I say? I see guns at flea markets, but never at a yard or garage sale. Bob

Nice early 19-2 with early style target stocks and a birth year gun to boot,
Wondering if it has the letter "L" stamped on the cylinder face ?

So, what are "yard sale" guns going for these days??

I will look for a "L" what is the meaning? When you say face of cylinder exactly what end is that? Face to me means the end the bullets come out of at high velocity!

You won't see that at a yard sale in CT......that's for sure

The side where bullets load should have an "L" indicating Left hand threaded ejector rod to distinguish it from older right hand thread cylinders.

IIRC the L stamp is unique to 19-1's and first year 19-2's .
