I have a few that might fall into the “over paid” category. I have learned that if you find the gun that you have been looking for, the time to buy is when you see it. I regret the times that a few dollars let a few gems slip by. Money comes and goes while the model 19 will always be there to give you pleasure.

Definitely had a weak moment, but its only money. New to me model 19-6, 2.5". Had to have it moment, been looking for a 2.5" for awhile now and I finally realized they're not getter any cheaper, so just do it now. Also a pic with its big brother the Model 28 Highway Patrolman.

Nice find, everybody needs a snubbie to tote around CC, but I'm really groovin' on your HP. How old is that bad boy? Easily pre 1972, but how much "pre" is it?

I have a few guns that I “overpaid” for by a not-unsubstantial margin. Others were bargains. The time to buy a thing you’re searching for is when you find it; I figure it all averages out in the end.

4-screw? Sweet. My 6-incher is a dash-2 from 1973.

And I've paid more than I wanted to for every gun I ever bought. Not to say I overpaid, they were all worth it, I just paid more than I wanted to.

I don't care much about paying a little over. It pales in comparison to the cost of the ammo I'll shoot through it (and yes I reload). But I tend to shoot thousands of rounds through my revolvers....I just can't help myself.

I bought a 19-3 here about 4 years ago for seven fiddy. I think 1K is ballpark these days.

Don't loose any sleep over it unless your wife finds out, assuming you're married.
