Wow. According to my last CT scan, the second subdural hematoma in my head has shrunk. Yet more medical proof that I really do have a brain in my cranium. Of course the CT scan can still see the burr hole in my skull. I hope my brain doesn't escape via that most recent hole in my head.

The lack of seemed to work OK for the Scarecrow but after seeing the Monkeys fly off with his pants I've felt he'd have been better served modifying his request for a more personal part of the anatomy.
Really good to hear from you.

Early on in her working career with the FD in the mid-90s, my wife was diagnosed with a brain tumor and had it surgically removed in a marathon 11-hour procedure. Yes, she made full recovery.

Knowing the people she worked with (and being a firefighter myself...), I would always say that she was the only one on her department with documented visual proof she had a brain! Everyone else was just a rumor...:D

Having one and using one is miles apart
I remember the first time my clerks found out I had a heart was when I told them I was going to my cardiologist.

I guess if they believed that, it was OK.
We use to tell our staff we were going for a Managers Meeting.
It was the bar at The Catch, across the street from the Angel Stadium.

A few years ago I was in the hospital in Hanover, PA being checked out 6 ways to Sunday to make sure I wasn't having a stroke. They ended up making some sort of a scan of my head and sent the results to a neurologist in Pittsburgh to review. After the results were reviewed, the neurologist contacted me on the audio/visual screen to give me the results. Behind him were all kinds of photos of heads with the brains visible. Figuring that I'd never have better chance, I asked the neurologist if I could see the picture of my brain, and he said I could and showed it to me. So now if anybody says to me, "You're an idiot, you don't have a brain in your head" I can tell them "Yes I do and I have the pictures to prove it!"

I had a CT scan one time and the nurse who called with my results told me, "They didn't find anything." I think she thought I was serious at first when I replied, "Good Lord! Tell me they found something!"
