Went to the show yesterday. Winter is here! Saw an awful lot of overpriced guns ammo and primers. Went looking for a supposed shooter grade K-32...All gone on Friday. the same fellow had a few other S&Ws...all mostly wayyy overpriced. At the next table there was a K-22 pre 17. shooter grade or bit better. Some blue wear etc but fairly decent...I mean a 70 year old 22 Revolver. Made the guy an offer...we couldn't come to a meeting of the minds so I left the table with one of the dealers. He asked me to give him my opinion of a pre War Model 70. The fellow came to my dealer friends table this morning and asked him if he could get with me and said if so he'd accept my offer. I got a call this AM from the dealer friend asking if I still wanted the K-22? yep...I done bought a decent S&W 22 for a decent price without even being there. I'll get it from my friend tomorrow. He even paid for it!...Although he might want to get that back. Gonna have to take it out and see how it shoots

I quit g shows because of the snarky attitude of table skanks.

Gun-Shows, Church, and perhaps the occasional farmer's market are the only 'group' association I do anymore. Besides the exercise and people, I am almost always finding 'something' in the way of an accessory, or a part, or some such.

My interpretation of that is "If you have to ask . . . you can't afford it !" or, more succinctly, "If you have to ask, it means you're not willing to pay my over-priced expectations"

Oh there was a posted price. I just offered him a fair bit less than he was asking. Some things Isell at shows I don't price...Firearms I do...Try to price reasonably to begin with. I seldom drop the price on them. I sell a lot of reloading items. I will try to post a pic or two If I find I have the problem solved getting them on the computer. Try to post a pic of the really inexpensive 27-2 posted too
I have to admit...most things at gun shows now mimic the prices both listed and selling on GB. As far as gun prices the internet is a real killer for us buying now...too many people have their nose buried in their phones looking at auction sites. I saw a lot of 30 year old powders at this show priced at the same as new stock. Not that the powder is bad...but 5 dollar a pound powder marked at 35? I saw powder..Reloader 10 and 11 in the square metal cans...30 dollars. I know what it sold for in the mid 1970s...Primers that old...75 dollars? but I guess people paying those prices drive the market..?? I guess I should just keep quiet. I luckily bought another 1000 Rem 6 1/2 SRPs for 20 dollars. Not anygood these days in rifles...duh They work just fine in 22 Hornet 222 and 38/357 evn in 223 with light bullets
