Figured I might as well brag about mine too !! Picked this little beauty up in March. My first S&W revolver !

Manged to trade my way into a set of Grashorn (Executioner) Stag grips for her. It came with those nasty rubber Hogue's, no way for a lady to dress, lol

So here she is all dressed up ! A 586-3, excellent condition, the blue is incredible, and the trigger is simply amazing. The finest revolver I have ever, and in most likelyhood, will ever own. I can tell you its not going anywhere thats for sure!

I have and have had, several Rugers over the years, including a Security Six, and theres no comparison. Rugers just fit into my meager budget, lol

I would tell you what I payed for it...but it would just make you sick, lol

Sweet!. My 586 is actually my first S&W revolver also. If I had been quicker on the trigger I'd have had a GP100 ($350) but I'm happier with the 586 and let's just say it was under $480 :D.
BTW those grips are awesome!

Congraulations on the purchase as the L frames are great shooters.

My first revolver was a a new no dash 4" 586 I bought in May of 1984 that I still have to this day and do not intend ever selling it!

Thanks for the compliments all ! I am rather proud of her. And Patrick is a true artist, they feel and shoot as good as they look !

I found her in a local shop, for 400, OTD. Some slight, very slight holster wear on the front sight, otherwise the bluing is perfect. And only a slight turn ring, I doubt if shes had 500 rounds thru her, locks up like a vault !

Did some trading and got enough cash to have Patrick work his magic. And this is my answer to all the "If you could have only one" threads . :)

Someday I'll run across a nice holster rig, For right know shes riding just fine in a Desantis Speed Scabbard.

That is a beauty! I have to admit, as many K frame fans as are out there, give me an L frame any day :)

That's awesome. I'd love to find one like that, and would pay a fair amount more.

She is beautiful. My first pistol was a 586 and I will never part with her. Those grips are so cool, I am going to have to spend some time surfing now!

Now THAT'S a nice looking shootin' iron!! Another one stolen out from under the nose of an unsuspecting gunshop proprietor. Good score!
