Because it's all about THEM! There just happens to be a singer on the stage that gives THEM an opportunity to be somebody for a few minutes.

That's why I very seldom choose to go to a live concert.
 
Thank You for posting this! That woman has golden pipes and it is a treasure to hear them.
 
Years here too... as I had when I first saw Paul Potts first sing out...

I hope she goes far and is blessed...

Sorry but I completely disagree. The lady staged a performance that deserved the applause and screaming. Even though she was not lacking in self confidence I'm sure she appreciated it. My wife and I were doing pretty much the same thing with only the computer as witness.

BTW, thanks to Nitesite for linking to the Potts video. Another amazing performance.
