Well here's what they SHOULD look like. This was a nice #24 tom that made for a grand Thanksgiving last year.

I enjoy seeing seeing turkeys around the property. I took this picture this spring in the front yard, a gobbler and a hen. There were a few more hens out of the camera view. Notice the squirrel on the wife's bird feeder, the "spillage" is what the hens are there for.

I love seeing turkeys in the wild, but for Thanksgiving, I prefer porketta.

No pictures but the other day my wife was on the computer and looked out the window and called me over there were 10 or 12 turkey's on the side of my garage. Behind my garage is all woods so now and then we see deer and turkeys. By the way this was the day after turkey season ended

I live on the south shore of Lake Superior and we get an average of 200 inches of snow. The snow is so light that you need snowshoes to get into the woods.

What I can not figure out is how turkeys survive the long winters up here, but last week, 2 dozen of them showed up in the yard!

Nope, but I did catch a Northern Pike once that had a Bass inside and the Bass had a Sunfish in it's mouth...

Dizzy Dean said once that he shot a quail that fell out of sight over a rise. Said when he got to where it fell he was on the bank of a pond and his dog was on point to the water. He looked in the water and saw a really fat large mouth bass stuck in the shallows so he scooped it up and put it in his basket but never did find the quail. When he got home and was dressing out that bass he found the quail he shot inside. Now Ol' Diz would never have lied about something but I don't think he ever let the truth stand in the way of a good story. Just sayin....

Actually that wouldn't surprise me. I haven't seen it myself but I have a friend who claims she has seen bass suck ducklings under the water on her pond. So what would that be? A bassducken?

A lot of turkeys around here, but the tom's pants are hanging down and the hen's are so tight they look like they are painted on.
