Your favorite radio station. Remember radio?

Growing up in the Boss Angeles area it was 93 KHJ Boss Radio. Real Don Steele, Humble Harve, Charlie Tuna... etc etc etc.

Later on it was the Mighty Met, KMET... Little bit of heaven 94.7... KMET... tweedle-dee.

One morning driving to work I turned on the radio and the Mighty Met had turned into The Wave. No DJs, new age music.

Most of the Met's DJs landed at KRTH 101.1. K Earth is still the oldies station in L.A.

Nowadays in San Diego I generally listen to 100.7 KFMB or 98.1 easy listening.

Actually my earlier response in this thread I was thinking in terms of today. Between my hearing loss and all the racket that passes for music these days I haven't listened to the radio in years. But back in the 70s I used to fish Lake Livingston a lot and it was usually on a Saturday. Launch the boat about noon and stay on the lake over night I'd listen to a baseball game and the, I think I remember it being about 9 or 10 PM I would occasionally get an atmospheric condition calle "skip" and I could get The Grand Ol' Opre on WSM out of Nashville. Not THAT was my favorite radio station in my long gone radio listening days.

I think I remember being able to hear WLAC or something from Nashville, Tenn late at night. It was about the only time you could get it because most of the AM stations went off the air at sundown. "Solid Gold Soul from Nashville, Tennessee!" Getting to hear it from central NC was a treat.

Back in the flat lands of Nebraska in the 1950s we had two great stations available only at night. KOMA in Oklahoma City and XELO in Del Rio, Texas. XELO was a so called "border blaster" station that transmitted from just across the border in Mexico where they could exceed the power of US stations. Spent a lot of time turning the tuning knob between the two stations. Couldn't reach the radio from the back seat though, so had to be content with one or the other. They both played great early rock n roll.
