Your final arrangements ..

Funerals don't need to be expensive to be nice, Though our local funeral directors may disagree. I think that too often, many families get railroaded into paying too much to get the job done.

My wife has always been the type to check everything in great detail before she signs it . While making my fathers funeral arrangements she saw a charge for $200 for the Hearse . His burial plot was literally 250 feet from the door of the Chapel . She told them to keep the Hearse and we will just use the rolling thing . The guy didn't seem too happy about it . They made up for it later when Mom passed . They used the Hearse but her arrangements had already been made by her years before and FEMA paid for it .

I have been fortunate enough to be married to two good women. My late wife wanted a regular burial and I am to be cremated and placed in the same plot.
My current wife was married to my first wife's brother and when he passed away they got lots and stone marker in the same cemetery.

So now I will have two wives buried in the same cemetery but a half mile apart. So to ease this quandary I have left instructions that to pour half my ashes on one grave and half on the other. That will save me the problem of running back and forth across the half mile to be with my loving wives.

wundudnee, happily married for fifty seven years, but it took two fine women.

I am wearing my second wife out now. :)

My plan is to be buried at sea from a U.S. Navy ship. Free to all Navy Veterans (and possibly all Veterans).

As someone else mentioned final services are for the comfort of the living not the departed. What they choose is fine with me although I do have some music I would like played that is important to me.

Nearest National Cemetery. Dig a hole about 12 inches in diameter and drive me in headfirst until my feet are 3inches below the surface then fill in what is left. Instructions for my lefts, my eldest son gets the guns and he must pay to my youngest son their value either in furniture or cash but it must be equal. If the world turns to worms before I die then put me in the ground where you find me.

The wife and I are going to be cremated and our ashes scattered in our favorite spot in the National Forest. If they don't like it they can kiss my ashes. I have a good friend that knows where we want to go and she will do it exactly as we want. Our kids will be there but if anyone else wants to show up that is OK too.
Our dog we have now I think I will have him cremated and scattered with us.
