Mine?
Unequivocally, without hesitation my children without even thinking about it.
My children inherited their mothers brilliant technical brain, but my sense of humor, very dry. I'm not a smart man, but fun to be around, lol.
My beautiful daughter, Lauren, has a heart of gold and is well suited as an RN, she's a Travel Nurse and a nomad at heart- She globe trots all over the world carrying nothing but a back-pack sometimes with her friends on vacation for weeks at a time, I could never do that.
I just gave her her first lesson in beating up car salesmen this past weekend buying her first new car. Yes, it was used like new and she paid cash being a Dave Ramsey Cultist like us.

Both our twin boys did two hitches in the Marine Corps reaching Sergeants Grade with their own commands and came out as Exemplary Marines like my dad. Dad was a 2nd Lt. and a pilot in the Corps.
Both of our sons became private pilots, but have gone different paths.

Connor's a new father, has a Bachelor's in Computer Science working on his Master's at GA, Tech in AI. Full ride from Uncle Sam.
Pictured with my dad here after my dad's first solo carrier landing at age 22 (I did the cut-out for a party) after completing private flight school.
Marine face of course.
Adi our first granddaughter

Chase is in Commercial flight school at Embry Riddle in Daytona. Taken during his private lessons. Uncle Sam pays for Commercial flight school, but they had to pay for their PL's themselves.
The Marines did that to their smiles. lol
Chase is the guy I tell people, "he's the guy you want your daughter to marry," very thoughtful, caring and protecting.

I feel exactly the same about my two daughters. Oldest is 31, has her BA and is in Human Resources for a large medical products company.

Her husband is like the son I didn't have, a Colombian National who worked for 3 years to get his US Citizenship while also working his way up the aviation ladder (private pilot, instrument rating, CFI, multi-engine, charter turboprops, ATP and Type rating) to become a commercial pilot, now flying B777's hauling air freight.

Younger daughter, just turned 27, has two BA's she earned in 3 years, my brainiac:). Now working as a software marketer for a Fortune 250 company and engaged to a great guy who is a hardware engineer for Microsoft (processor designer). They fit together like a hand in a glove.

We are all close and frequently visit. My wife of 33 years would agree that we are all like best friends.

After wasting 9 1/2 years in a steel mill Coke Dept., I went to trade school. I took an Electrical class and then an HVACR class and got Outstanding Achievement letters from both. Then in the Steamfitters Apprenticeship, I only had to do 2 years and I "graduated" at the top of my class. I had 30 good years servicing commercial/industrial HVACR. I met wife #3 at a refrigerated freezer & cooler warehouse and we've had a pretty good life, and our girl is gonna drop a puppy in May, so we both can be grandparents. My oldest girl has two kids, also. I'm happy.

Raised a son and three daughters that vote responsibly, work, pay taxes and are fiscally responsible. They treat me with respect, largely on behalf of their mother who has passed, and brought 6 beautiful grandchildren into the world...
Praise God from whom ALL blessings flow.

I worked my butt off at an incredibly boring (but fairly well paying) job for decades in order to allow my wife and children to become their best selves. It worked. I never went to college but between the three of them there are four Bachelors and two Masters and no student debt.

Their accomplishments are their own, not mine. That's all I did. No regrets. Not one.
