This Russian monstrosity boasts 74 horsepower and displaces less than one litre—wait, what?

Link here.

Leave it to the Russians to build an engine comprised of 16 cylinders and plunk it into a commie-era Lada sedan. And, whoa, before you get the impression we're talking about a V16 out of a Bugatti or something even more exotic, we'll set the record straight: this mill is hand-built from some 16 chainsaw engines...

Assembled by the maniacs at Garage 54, a popular YouTube channel, the engine was then plopped into a Lada, but only after the engine bay was significantly modified.

...this is a group of skilled mechanics whose greatest hits include using springs on steel wheels instead of rubber tires; building an eight-wheeled Fiat; and crafting a wooden replica of a Mercedes G-Wagen. Posing the question "Wooden pistons: will they work?" is also a topic one is unlikely to find in a Red Seal course at the community college level; meanwhile, Garage 54 has 2.3 million views on the topic.

Fun to watch.
But, I expected more performance.
I guess with only 50cc or so for each "cylinder" it really doesn't amount to much.
Smoke and smell from 12, two stroke chainsaws must be awful.

Synthetic oil at the right mix...half the smoke. De ok on a murder cycle!!Ain't yankee Enginuity ...but ingenious at the least...and fun...Got a good laugh. Wife though I was crazy laughing at it

Good old Vlad and G54
Before the Ukraine invasion, I used to watch their antics on the regular. Of late, they just aren't in my YT feed.
They'd be great at parties

Just probably takes only 10-15 minutes to start all of the 16 chain saw. No quick get-away here!
