A friend of mine is working a trade deal and part of what he is getting is a 4" Zastava .357. I can't seem to find much on the 'net about them but what I do find is, well, not that great. Fortunately he is coming out ahead on the deal so the gun is a bonus but he is not that revolver savvy and I am trying to help him a bit. From what I can see they don't look too heavy and maybe a bit smaller than a K frame. Anyway any help will be appreciated.

If they are like the other stuff Zastava makes, it will be serviceable, although perhaps not as finely finished as a S&W revolver.

Zastava makes good rifles, and decent, serviceable pistols that are like Tokarevs, SIG Sauer classic pistols, and similar European models. If it works ok, then use it.

I know zilch about their revolvers, but as has been mentioned, they tend to make solid firearms.

It's one of the older firearm companies, that emerged from the old Austro-Hungarian Empire (based in Serbia). Was caught on the wrong side of the Iron Curtain, hence the Tokarevs (and SKS and AKs), but the lineage is there.
I've got a CZ-99, which is the "like a Sig Sauer Classic line" pistol, and while a little thicker than my Sig, and the trigger is not as crisp, I absolutely would not hesitate to use it. It functions every time and is surprisingly accurate.

I would imagine that their revolvers are much the same; not as aesthetically pleasing, but utterly reliable and sturdy.
