OH YEAH, YOU DID WELL!

That is definitely a truck gun for a very upscale truck... maybe one to drive to your next Bar-B-Que?

If it's not a tow truck and if the gun will be secured so it doesn't get banged around randomly, IMHO, those stag grips will just get more character out of a home in your truck. Maybe you have too rough a life in mind for YOUR truck gun, but I don't like the gun to see but so much wear and tear and as little actual abuse as possible. JMHO, YMMV! ;)

That's a great shooter you picked up there!

The grips are genuine India Sambar Stag antler, and they're antler bone, not horn. So they're very tough, tougher than wood and horn, and much tougher than Ivory or mother of pearl.

Deer, elk, moose, caribou, India Stag, European Red Stag, etc., are antler bone and they are shed every year. The animal does not have to be killed to harvest them. Erroneously called buck horn and horns.

Horn is made of cuticle material like antelope, rhino, bison, water buffalo, cow, sheep, etc., and they are not shed.

Thanks for the info. I take it that they are not cheap.
