Perry suspenders.

I used Perry Tool Belt Suspenders at work for years. The only difference between them and regular Perrys is the back strap is elastic and the front two are Nylon. So there's some give when bend or sit.

All of my Cowboy Action pants and "Go to Meeting" Suits are set up for button on suspenders. At a shoot about 20 years ago I had one of the leather workers make me a set that has a removable holster for a derringer. I had a huge belly at the time and the adjusting straps were about 2 feet longer than I needed when I deflated some.

My leather guy drank too much, and his liver quit, so about 4 years ago I found another that made my brother a pair like mine with a J-Frame holster. I was so impressed; I had a holster for a "Lemon Squeezer" made so I'm current in all my fashion accessories!

I have a new in the bag, Hunter brand universal fit set of suspenders that have a removable holster for a "Small Revolver". These are more of a utility suspender than something important, like a wedding or Action shoot. My good pair have been to 15 weddings (including 3 of my 4 kids weddings, and a "Formal Night" on a cruise ship-sans gun)

Checked the brand am using, Work n Sport from Farm and Fleet. At least when bought, they were pretty cheap. The only elastic is below the cross over junction in the back, but that stretches out pretty quickly. The only modification done to them is some padding sewn in where they go over a pace maker.

I remember when I went to buy my wedding suit about 40 years ago I was wearing another suit and had both a belt and suspenders. I thought the salesman was going to have a conniption fit. "Sir, that's just not done!" Apparently, amongst the fashionistas that's a fashion faux paux.

When I went to have my last suit fit about 7 years ago at Men's Wearhouse, I took my "Holster suspenders" with an unloaded derringer, a belt and IWB rig with a Sig 229 (unloaded) As they made the marks for the alterations, I would then change equipment, and they fit that rig too. A few compromises were made to accommodate everything. They install an area of extra satin lining called a Gun Patch, that keeps even a bulky Sig from printing!

But when it was finished it made even fat me LOOK GOOD!

Actually they are called Braces. Make sure that the seamstress who sews on the buttons makes sure that she goes through the lining and uses a like color thread. If you are really proper-have her remove the belt loops as well.
