There have always been formula movies with actors playing formula parts. I like some of them, some of them are just payback appearances for their friends, some are pure garbage.
Over time, the box office seems to vote with dollars for the "actors/stars" that people like and continue to watch.
Not sure if that is the mark of a good actor, star or just a pretty face.
As for Stallone; Someone, somewhere is making money on him and they keep paying him to be in their pictures.
Not to start a battle but the only one on my never-never, ever list is Hanoi Jane.If I abstained from doing business with everyone who doesn't hold my views on everything, I'd starve, walk everywhere, never watch TV, live in a cave, and stay off the internet. I have to pick my battles.
Just as "True Grit" was the ONLY real acting that non-actor and draft-dodger John Wayne ever did, so "Tulsa King" is Stallone's chance to prove that, despite the evidence of the past 35 years, he can act...
