Burger King Whopper

I'm on my "small burger only yellow mustard and dill pickle" phase with 5 guys. That and eating peanuts with a diet Fanta Grape drink. Don't care for the frys.
I'm a simple man with simple needs.

Missed this last month, FYI a Whopper and a Wendy's salad with dressing have about the same amount of calories 660 to 678

Once went into KFC with a backed up grease trap.
It was years before I went into one again.

I worked my way thru college working at a "Chicken Delight". (USA franchises long gone) The wife of the owner was a nurse, and our store was meticulously clean. Was happy to be a part of that place.

However......I didn't eat chicken for a long time after that. It was the frequent cancer tumors that we had to cut out of many of the parts.

I understand that chickens are raised better these days.

I used to enjoy most fast food, but ... not now. Whether I have become more demanding or the food quality is worse is an open question.

They just rebuilt our local BK from the ground up.
The drive through is usually around the building. They are painfully slow.
That being said, they are my burger of choice for drive thru. I used to like Wendy’s but their burgers don’t have any taste to me.
Edited to add, I do like Wendy’s chili, though.

Which is why you will never see me eating a Wendy's salad with dressing. If I'm gonna eat 660 calories, I'm gonna go with a couple of Jelly Donuts over an egg-white omlette with dry wheat toast and a turkey sausage link

Whopper with cheese, heavy all, with bacon and jalapenos.

Bliss.

And yes, you can get jalapenos on your whopper around here. Really makes the sandwich.

Everything burger King sells taste horrible. There milkshakes are artificial flavored vanilla ice milk. Their meat is very oily and artificial tasting

About 15 years ago, a lovely lady in my life introduced me to the Whopper Junior at BK. Unfortunately, she is now gone; but every few months I stop by a local BK and have a W J in her memory.

Other than that, such fast food not on my agenda.

Can't stand their flame broiled process. I keep burping it up for a day or two after eating there. No Burger King for me!

We took a little road trip through the smaller towns of North Central Texas (west of D/FW) last week. Up there is a chain called Braum’s, HQ of which is somewhere in Oklahoma. Many years ago we lived in that area and ate at a local Braum’s there fairly often. None are anywhere close to us here in San Antonio. If you want a real Whopper, that is the place to go. About a half-pound of meat, with cheese and bacon, fries, and a small milkshake for $8.99. Braum’s Ice Cream & Dairy Store
