I'm thinking that they were more like 5,000 for $400 for Servicio Aventuras primers. They have been really hard to seat for me.I just got Argentine small pistol primers (what I use the most of) last week. 10K primers were $400 delivered to my door. Maybe not perfect but close enough for my needs.
I "pinch" myself every time I walk by my stash of powder and primers that I bought a at what I'd call "regular" prices. That would be somewhere in the $27 / brick for large & small primers and $12-$15 / lb of powder. Since they are stored in an a/c environment they should outlive me. I am trying my best to use them up before going horizontal!![]()
Once I figured out that they have to be completely seated, with a very small amount of extra effort, they work 100% for me.I just got Argentine small pistol primers (what I use the most of) last week. 10K primers were $400 delivered to my door. Maybe not perfect but close enough for my needs.
I find that my Dillon 550 won't seat the SA primers reliably because they have to be smashed into the primer pocket. I have to seat them separately with my Hornady hand primer tool. So what was the price?Once I figured out that they have to be completely seated, with a very small amount of extra effort, they work 100% for me.
