At least the price is headed in the right direction. That said, I'm currently using some WSP primers to load a bit of .38 Special. These WSP primers were $11.00.

$11.00 per K.

I have noticed lately that some resellers are starting to drop their primer prices a little. They still need to go down a whole lot more, but at least they are going down and not up!

I "pinch" myself every time I walk by my stash of powder and primers that I bought a at what I'd call "regular" prices. That would be somewhere in the $27 / brick for large & small primers and $12-$15 / lb of powder. Since they are stored in an a/c environment they should outlive me. I am trying my best to use them up before going horizontal! :D

I just got Argentine small pistol primers (what I use the most of) last week. 10K primers were $400 delivered to my door. Maybe not perfect but close enough for my needs.

With inflation, primers are not going to get much better than that.
You can’t directly compare those prices with what they cost 5 years ago. We have had about 25% or higher inflation since 2020.

I'm thinking that they were more like 5,000 for $400 for Servicio Aventuras primers. They have been really hard to seat for me.

I picked up 5000 Win SPP for just a little over twice what we used to pay pre pandemic. I guess I'm happy.

I'm looking at a can of 800-X in front of me right now. The tag reads $9.45. The last decent deal I got on powder was in 2021- 16lbs of Green Dot (a very good powder for some pistol calibers) for $240.

Once I figured out that they have to be completely seated, with a very small amount of extra effort, they work 100% for me.

I find that my Dillon 550 won't seat the SA primers reliably because they have to be smashed into the primer pocket. I have to seat them separately with my Hornady hand primer tool. So what was the price?
