Colt anaconda

Anaconda

Congratulations on a nice Revolver.

I’m not a Colt guy. Since the introduction of
the New Českázbrojovka (CZ) Colts I have
been intrigued how much better they are
re-engineered and manufactured.

What a nice company reset and what a
more common sense internal design.

I am probably in the minority, but if CZ/colt
comes out with a 45 caliber, I want the
Anaconda to say 45 Colt on the barrel.

Consumers would recognize this iconic
45 Colt cartridge.
Consumers would be at lease able to find
reasonably priced ammo.
Keep in mind, of the billions of consumers,
we Reloaders are a very very small niche of
enthusiasts out there.
We need new consumers to support/carry on
the Industry.

The Best to you and your Endeavors.

The new series of Colt revolvers was engineered and produced prior to the merger with CZ. I view the merger as making a great company even better. Even before the merger Colt had a first class management team in place...unlike before when they were owned by non-gun people. It's not that there haven't been a few bumps along the way with today's Colt...some unfortunately self-inflicted and some beyond the company's control...but their future is brighter than it has in many years.

There's still some products I'd like to see Colt produce...but they haven't asked me. Gunmaking in America is a long and time honored tradition and I want to see a healthy and competitive industry prosper.

Got the Miami Vice vibe going on there, Agnes. I like it. Wilson rear sight, nice grips. Very cool.

I decided to take mine out and light it up because it’s just so much fun. Double ear pro. Not my best work, but acceptable, I guess.

I compared the outside dimensions of my FA .454 to my new model Anaconda. They are very close, with a few thousandths here and there. I wouldn’t be surprised if the Colt comes out in .454 that it would be a 5 shooter. If it’s .45 Colt I would assume it would still be a 6 shot.

What load was that ?

I’m burning 19.5 grains of Accurate No.9 with a 240 XTP.

My 11th Edition Hornady Reloading manual lists 21.3 #9 as max. That seems a bit hot to me. That’s why everyone needs a chronograph.
