I know they make the 45 in an Auto Rim...........so does anyone make the 10mm/40cal in an Auto Rim too?? If not,why not?

Just wondering.............

They've been making revolvers that use 45ACP and moon clips since WWI. There are thousands and thousands of 45ACP revolvers out there - many from the surplus market of yesterday (1917s and Brazilians) and commercial made variants (25, 26, 625, 325), and still 45AR is a very small market.

Just imagine how tiny the market would be for 10mm or 40S&W in auto rim format when there has to be 10 to 100 times less of these revolvers vs. those made in .45ACP.

Lack of demand or interest is usually a good indicator..

I think the .41 bullet is actually .40 in size, so I think it would go thru the barrel. The cartidge is different and would not fit the cylinder however. Now I done used all my thinking on one post!!

Nope, the .41 magnum uses a .410 round; the .44 Russian/Special/Magnum are .429. I think the small target market as theorized in clang444's response is the most likely explanation. Even now the 45AR is a niche loading; most of us are satisfied with 45ACP in moonclips, and there is a nice broad selection of good service ammo in 45ACP. (Example, I buy 45ACP 230 grain gold dot, my old duty load, in case lots.)

I have to admit I would like to find a good Keith SWC at 255-270 grains loaded in 45AR cases, but while I have seen some SWCs, they seem to be too narrow at the nose.
