I recently bought some MT Ammo and shot it at the local range.
This:
Magtech .380 95 gr. Full Metal Case FMC RN BRO207 L-458 (Made in Brazil)
50 rds. $19.99 Curt Smith Outdoors. LGS
Very Good Ammo! Clean, Accurate. ....Very good price also.
If I had bought online, it would have been more expensive with the added cost of shipping.

I have recently used some Magtech .357 mag ammo and agrre with your statements entirely....

When the ammo shortage first hit, 158 gr. lead .38 Special was hard to find in my area. I found some by MagTec at a good price and bought it. I fired it from my six inch 28-2. In the course of firing the ten boxes that I bought I had a single problem one afternoon with a single box of the ammo. There were in one cylinder three rounds that failed to fire. The primers were very well struck. All the other MagTec rounds in that box fired normally. All the other MagTec rounds in the other nine boxes fired normally. The three that failed to fire did not fire even when I moved them to the other charge holes in the cylinder. It was the one and only instance in which there has ever been a misfire with this revolver. I have had the revolver since 2000 when it was given to me by my brother. The strain screw as normal was screwed in tight. Ignition with all other rounds was positive and otherwise unremarkable. This is the one and only time I've ever had problems with MagTec ammo. I have fired several thousand rounds of MagTec .40 S&W in a Glock G-22RTF with absolutely perfect function and on target results. HTH. Sincerely. brucev.

I've only shot two boxes of Magtech .357 Mag's. that were given to me and there were no issue with it. It seemed accurate and the Nickeled cases have survived well as reloads.

Palmetto had a 10% off deal a while back and had .40 180gr Magtech on sale. I believe I ended up paying about 16.75 a box delivered. My Shield eats it up. To me its better than WWB, and that stuff is 20 + tax at the local WM.

I get tighter groups with Magtech 44 mag rounds than with anything I've been able to handload thus far. The brass is as good as any. That's also a plus if you reload.

The only downside to Magtech ammo I've found is local availability.

Funny I came in here. This morning I hit the range and the only ammo I had on hand was the MT .38spl 158 gr. flat nose. Out of 120 rds I had 9 that wouldn't ignite at all (regardless of how many times I tried) and 5 that required a second attempt before they'd fire.

I was shooting my 4" 686 no dash. It was my late father's, he had an action job done to it shortly after it came back from having the "M" modification done in 1981.

I've never experienced any issues with any other ammo since I got it in 1992.

The ammo had clear hits on those primers, didn't look any lighter than the primers of the rounds that did fire.

My normal .38 plinking ammo is the Win and Federal 130gr fmj., those always work fine as does any sd ammo I've tried.

Just my experience.

Happy 4th!

I was forced to buy some during the shortage...my groupings got tighter and cleaning was easier...i've since bought and shot quite a bit of magtech...no issues so far

I'm with you on the tighter groups!
I shoot a BG380 at 7-yds. at the range and my groups are within 2". I have been shooting Freedom Remanufactured and
my groups were more like 5".
I love this ammo!

Magtech .45 ACP

A few years ago, just before the ammo shortage, my local gun shop had some Magtech, 180 grain JHPs in 10-round blister packs. Bought a few. Ammo works just fine and delivered 1140 FPS from a 5" Model 1911 on my Chrony.

380 ACP Target & Range Ammo.
Some of us who shoot .380 find it hard to find at times.
I have shot a lot of different mfg's ammo in my BG380 and found the Magtech full brass case ammo to be the best for me.
If you are finding it hard to find, here is a supplier that has it in stock and the price is excellent!
Magtech 380 ACP 95 gr FMJ 50/box: $15.86!!!

Magtech is the primary ammo sold by the Scottsdale Gun Club. I used to assist in the gunsmithing area and shot off thousands of rounds testing everything from revolvers and autos to sub machine guns.
I experienced very few failures with this ammo and some of these failures were likely due to the firearm being tested as they were in the gunsmithing area due to problems.
It's unfortunate this company doesn't load 22s as I think their ammo is good value for the money.

It used do be some dirty ammo, but around the late 1990s, it got much better.
I've never had a problem with it.

I have use it in my Taurus raging bull .454 for a few years. It shoots the best out of all the factory ammo I have shot.

This was back when I set the scope at 100yards with Magtech 260 gr.

They are now making 22lr. My local Academy recieved a case of it yesterday. Priced just over $2 for 50 rounds. First time I've seen it.
