wal mart ammo

Thanks for the heads up.

Looks like I might have to look at the ammo, the next time I am in there at the BBQ and fishing sections on my monthly visits.

So it seems I can buy all the ammo I want from Walmart and not feel like I'm supporting anti-gun activities .
When the left can control the stores selling guns and ammo there is no need to control anything elese...no laws need to be passed , nothing political needs to be done.
Store Control = buyer control = gun/ammo control . Think About It .

Was at my local Wal-Mart yesterday for household stuff and made a pass through sporting goods. Clerk was restocking ammo shelves. Had numerous cases of all calibers on a handcart. No big price reductions. Didn't look to me like they are stopping ammo sales. Did buy a box of Remington .38 special, FMJ for $17.

Back in the 80's and 90's Hillary was on the board of directors, so I think some of old ideas still linger. I worked as Sporting Goods manager during the early 90's. Left in Dec 94 to go to the USPS. I once sold AR sporters, SKS, M-1 Garands, and M-1 carbines until the home office found out about it. They had a conniption fit! Told me to send all surplus and military style weapons back to the supplier. We didn't. We marked them down and got rid of them! That's how I got my M-1 Garand for a 179.00!

Went to the local farm store to buy a chainsaw yesterday. Went by the gun counter and there was a hand printed sign there. Said we ain't Walmart. We have ALL ammo....so I had to buy a 500 round brick of 22s...14 dollars The Stihl saw was on sale too. Even bought a new 50 cal ammo can for 7.50 I think. Their gun prices on the other hand....are not cheap...but they do have revolvers

But the board of directors , not any kind of passed legislation , put a screeching halt to those sales right .
That's gun control in my book and they did it easily...what comes next ... one store at a time ...
Think About It .

My nearest sporting goods/gun/pawn shop has a sign on their door that reads "This is NOT a gun-free zone." :D

A local restaurant automatically gives a 10% discount to open carry customers , concealed carry customers only need to show firearm to receive it .
I love their policy and the foods good .

The restaurant is not a chain , local Louisiana owners/operators .

Gary I get your point...but think of it this way. Any store should have the right to sell what they want. So if the board decides no more buggy whips then shey shouldn't have to sell them. Kind of like the bakery that didn't want to sell a wedding cake to a same sex couple. Even though some court said they were in violation of some law/ordinance or what ever...I think if they feel that doing so compromises their beliefs they should have the right to serve customers according to those beliefs. When I had my gun shop years ago I chose to not sell handguns. There were reasons though..I llived in Md..selling handguns in Maryland was an onerous proposition even back then..even worse now..And there was very little call for handgun sales in my area. Heck I sold guns ammo reloading supplies etc and I couldn't get a concealed carry license in Md...although I had one for Pennsylvania. So if WW doesn't want to sell firearms that should be their right...now if a city such as SF puts so many obstacles out there to keep a gun shop from operating in the city...they... being a governmental agency should be sued clear to the Supreme Court

I checked out my closest Walmart yesterday. They had lots and lots of ammo in all popular calibers in 50,100, and Mega-Packs. I didn't buy a thing.

I was at Academy buying some primers and I asked if they had any 44 spl casings. He told me no and that Academy was getting out of the reloading business.

Not a surprise. My store went a full aisle of reloading stuff (I don't, so can't detail the stock) at the beginning. Most of it is now in a clearance area. I guess that experiment didn't go as well as they hoped.

I was just at the local WM this morning. Plenty of ammo, but the prices are still pretty high in comparison to online sources.

Took a peek at what they had to offer yesterday and found about the cheapest price I've seen for 250 round boxes of Remington UMC .38 Special 130 grain FMJ plinkers. Bought the last two they had. Out the door it was $148.86 (including the high local sales tax), or not quite $.30/round.

Stopped by one of the local Wally Land sporting goods departments here in Central VA. Plenty of handgun ammo from Winchester, Remington and Federal. I picked up a 200 round bulk box of Winchester 9 mm ball... that's the only handgun caliber I don't regularly reload and and my Model 39 needs feeding too!. I've built up my supply now, so I won't be buying much more any time soon, but i looks like there will be a supply for at least the immediate future.

Who's that, Gary? I might have to drop by after hitting the range for a nice dinner.
Heck, I usually finish the range day off that way anyway. If it's somewhere nice and not too far into traffic, I'm in.

It's all complete Bull ****. If Wal Mart really wants to save lives, they will stop selling tobacco and alcohol. Period. But that isn't the goal, so they still sell something that is legal, but can directly or indirectly cause significant injury or deaths.

More folks die from donuts than guns, it's a medical fact, ask any doctor.
