Model 60 3 inch for CCW?
Is the model 60 in a 3 inch comfortable to carry IWB?
Is it concealable enough (I'm 6ft 2in at 195 lbs) under an untucked shirt?
Yes, I Know a lot depends on the holster.
Any experience with this weapon in CCW?

Welcome to the forum! I loved my 60-15 - worked perfectly for the use you described (I'm 5'9" and 170 lbs).
I'd still have it, but for the self-activation of the idiot lock when I oafishly knocked the unloaded gun off a counter onto a hardwood floor. That being precisely the sort of impact that my force-on-force training has shown me a fighting gun will have to withstand and come back blazing, I got rid of the gun. (Nowadays, I'd just remove the idiot lock, but this was before I was secure in my inside-the-gun abilities.) The gun was wonderful and strong and not nearly as unpleasant to shoot with full-power .357s (handloads and Buffalo Bore 158-grainers) as one might think.
I still carry a 3" J-frame, but a pre-lock 36-1 in .38 Special. It, too, is heck for strong and a dandy little gun. I carry in an inexpensive Don Hume 715 IWB for the 3", and also in a SmartCarry rig, depending on my mode of dress - I also have a nice flap holster that carries the gun when I go on long hikes. Use yours in good health!

I routinely carry a 3" Model 65 in a Don Hume 715M IWB. I doubt that a 3" J frame would be less comfortable to carry.

I'm 5'7" 200 lbs. and routinely carry a 5" 629. A guy your size should be able to hide a 3" model 60 in a speedo.

First, welcome to the Forum. There are lots of great folks here with valuable knowledge to share.
Yes, the model 60 in 3 inch is perfect for concealed carry . . . even inside the waistband. For CCW I prefer the fixed sight 60 (heavy barrel but without ejector shroud) in .38 Special over the 60-4, -10 or -15 with adjustable sights.
Here is my 60 in her working clothes. The Pachmayr Compac isn’t the most concealable grip, but it gives me quick and easy grasp, excellent control drawing and comes up on-target every time . . . features I considered most important.
I carry in a Lobo Gun Leather custom IWB holster that is very comfortable. Normally these fasten to the belt with leather straps and snaps but I had Ray (at Lobo) make mine with clips so it could more easily be put on or removed when in and out of places where concealed carry is not permitted. Note the hammer spur guard to avoid the “rash” when against the bare skin.
I alternate my CCW with a 3” heavy barrel model 640 . . . the hammerless version of the model 60 . . . with the same grips to give me the exact same feel but a better option for pocket carry when needed.
Good luck in your search, Russ

I have a 3" model 60 that I like a lot. It gets carried IWB in a Side Guard holster. A pleasure to carry.

I have two guns I carry CCW, however I never carry IWB so I can't help you there. I carry either a M60 3" with Crimson Trace grips or CS45 with night sights and Big Dog's delrin grips. I carry both in a Bianchi Black Widow holster under a loose shirt. The CS is probably more comfortable with it's flat sides and delrin grip, but it is a bit heavier. But with that said, I pretty well can forget I have either on most of the time.

I carry a Model 60-4 3" 38 with adjustable sights and a full lug. IWB is a great way to carry. I like Erich use the Don Hume Model 715 with two straps and it is secure and almost forgettable. Much easier than carrying a K frame.

Hey, for you 3" J-frame guys who are looking for an inexpensive flap holster for hikes. Guess what fits perfectly inside a PA-63 or PP flap holster? The ones that are $5 or so at every gun show?
Just cut off the mag pouch stitching and away you go. I used Ballistol to bring one of these holsters back to life the other day, and noticed that my 36-1 fit in it perfectly.

Nice piece on the 3" M-60-15 here:
Smith & Wesson Model 60-15 3-inch Barrel J-frame Revolver in .357 Magnum
I carry this piece more than any of the others. It's always with me, sometimes in a shoulder holster, but frequently in my daypack. That's just my lifestyle, though.

One of my primary carry guns is a 632 "Carry Comp", which is about the same as the Model 60 only in .327 Federal Mag. I carry it cross-draw, winter & summer and have no problems whatsoever in keeping it concealed......
