Has anyone used a Safariland Split-Six speedloader carrier that fits a 6-shot 44 N frame? Their website lists a model 371-1-6 and in the fit chart it includes a S&W Model 10/15/66 but also a 29/624/629. That didn't seem right, so I called, and the lady on the phone was not helpful, so I'm coming to the field to ask if anyone has figured this out.

The person Safariland has in the office must be really cute. Their qualifications do not include knowing anything about what they sell.
I had the rubber friction pad missing off a couple CD-2 Speed Loader carriers I bought a while back. You would think the CD-2 Part Number, as well as the Speed Loader carrier would give them a hint what I was talking about. WRONG

After the second round they shipped my a set of screws and rubber spacers either for a plastic holster or a plastic double Magazine Pouch. I gave up and made a pad.

I have a couple of the Split Six carriers if I can find them. I do not have a 44 Comp I however.
My guess is it will work with a Safariland Comp I ONLY.

Thanks.

I could swear that twenty years ago, or so, there was a tan leather version of this setup and it easn't a Safariland product. I ocul dbe wrong. The current offering is some kind of synthetic, black BW material. I use HKS speedloaders because they're easier to operate that the Saf Comp, and I was hoping the HKS knob would fit under the split six flap when it's secured. I know DeSantis makes a single case, which looks pretty good, but the protruding knob pokes through ahole in the snapped-down flap, and that seems like a recipe for snagging if you're in a rush. A reload for a carry gun by definition is sort of a rush event. I wish someone had thought this through (I know, someone did: Gaston Glock : )

The Safariland rep did direct me to the CD-2, but that's not the style I have in mind to carry. I may just have to continue carrying a speedloader or two in my pocket. If you find the split six, though, look me up.
