Hi.
New to this site, First Post.
I am buying the SD40 for Home defence and CC.
What do you think about this weapon as a CC and what is the best Holster this purpose.
I am a big man (225 lbs) and would think that I could carry this gun well.
What do you think?

I occasionally conceal carry my SD40VE. Usually carry IWB with my "little fox" by foxx holsters. It's a little harder to conceal than some of my smaller handguns, mainly because of the longer grip, but over all it carries fairly well.

First, let me say I have no connection to FOXX Holsters or Raymond Watson.

I ordered the FoxX IWB Kydex holster from FoxX Holsters for a Smith and Wesson SD40VE with slide guard on Thursday 7.25.13 and received it Monday 7.29.13.
The SD40VE fits like the proverbial glove, is very thin and comfortable to wear (just tried it to see how it would fit and feel). The gun "clicks" in the clamshell design and unholsters as advertized on the FoxX web video.
Many thanks to FoxX Holsters.

There are plenty of you tube videos showing concealed carry of glock 19's which is the same size. I carry my sd40ve but I only weigh 180. I think people worry way more than they should about whether people notice a bump under a t-shirt. I have a supercross tuck.
