I have narrowed it down to these, but am open to options

Anyone have experience with Kolbeson leather?
I was looking at the Mule pictured here:

Right now I have a don hume H715 and desantis nemesis and want to get something better than these.

They are both attractive and look very well made. But if they are stiff leather they may not be very comfortable. I tried a Don Hume IWB for appendix carry and it hurt. I have an Ace Case IWB holster size #2 made of soft glove leather which is very comfortable for A-IWB carrying my 2" j-frames. They only cost about $20, and I got mine within ten days of ordering. I would recommend you try one of these before ponying up big money and sitting through a long lead time for a holster which will look great but may not be comfortable.

just walked down to GoodTimes for some frozen custard with a 638 tucked in my PJ's, rode well, no issues !

Thanks, but I have no issues with my Don Hume IWB I find it comfortable. It is what prompted me to want something the same, just "better".

The prices of both are reasonable as are the wait times.

Really first reate makers have wait times that approach 2 years and are worth the wait.

Buy the way, order your belt from the same manufacturer. The belt must fit the holster and be desighed for its purpose.

The most overlooked component is the belt. The belt makes the system work. Don't cheap out on the belt.

Holsters for men are like bras for women - meaning you just can't pick one for someone else. It's an individual thing; fit, function, style, aesthetics, etc. People are all different sizes, shapes, weights, and so what works for me might be terrible for you.

It literally took me 20 years to find what I deem the perfect holsters for me - for OWB a Kramer Horsehide Belt Scabbard, one of his Horsehide belts in 1 1/4" width, and when I pocket carry I use a DeSantis Nemesis. On the rare occasion I IWB carry I use a soft suede holster with a clip that I offset so it does not sit above the cylinder. If you ask 100 people here you'll get almost as many different choices, so you will just have to read what others like the most and out of them pick one, try it and if you think something else might be better down the road give it a try. There is certainly no reason YOU should not have a closet full of holsters like most of us here...

By the way there are also a few holster makers here on the Forum - LOBO for one and there are many fellas here who swear by his stuff. You should contact him and get his advise. While I do not yet own one of his holsters, they look like high quality and his prices seem reasonable.
