Default Do you ever carry less than mag. capacity?

Does anyone else routinely carry fewer rounds than the max. capacity of your magazine in order to avoid excess weight?
My CZ 75D PCR is a very pleasant semi-auto to carry around on my belt, but if I load it full-up with 147 gr ammo it becomes a brick. I've lately been carrying it with only 10 rounds and find it much more pleasant to get along with. I may even try stepping down to 115 gr. bullets to see how much more that helps.
