I knew a woman that worked for a security firm and she was told if she carried a gun they would pay her a dollar an hour more. She said no thanks. Security officer open carrying she thought was first target by a bad perp. For a dollar more she said not only no but heck no.

I guess that is why some are meter maids, and some people become cops. Unless there is a rash of attacks on armed security where she resides I believe her fear is unfounded. I have seen nothing to support such a claim, IMO it is pure fantasy.

It's not an "answer" to any "question". It's a reply to a comment.

One reason for the shirt may be that amongst all other problems Fla. has it has become a bad place to bicycle. Both sides are at fault from distracted, careless drivers to arrogant cyclists not understanding they are subject to the same laws as autos. Majority of folks are like everyone else, just like to get from point A to point B without incident via two wheels or four.
That said if the cyclist thinks that shirt will impress people to steer clear he's taking one helluva chance.

Well, it's not just that, either. The real statement he is making is (and I guarantee this!) "I am a bicyclist that thinks I am a car driver, with full rights to the same amount of road that a car or truck should have, but I'm going 12 miles an hour, you're behind me, and if you even think about crowding or passing me, I may shoot you"...
So, here's news for YOU, angry cyclist; they didn't sell you the last gun, they're still making plenty, I might be going heeled too..."

Those pics are only available on the dark web, for a price.
Sometimes the clothes are the last thing that draws your attention. That and being caught in the backdraft.

I've seen shirts like this before. Generally Referred to as shoot me first shirts.
I had an idea for my own personal shirt along the same idea. "I'm old fat, out of shape, but I've got a pocket full of $20.00's, who wants them?"

YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR.
Carry a gun while at work for 1$/hr more??? R-U nut's? While I might, CC'd 1 for MY OWN personal protection, 1$ is in NO WAY worth the responsibility & potential consequences to protect someone else's insured stuff. Try Paul Blart.

I’ll accept second runner up in this beauty contest. I pack everywhere, except when I am cycling. The “sausage casing” cycling kit doesn’t allow for the proper concealment of anything.

I can't figure out why he is wearing long sleeves and pants in Florida. Maybe sunburn protection? I would overheat dressed like that.
As for the shirt, maybe because OC is illegal in Florida? I don't/won't criticize OC, but that reminds me of the folks who used to get those CC badges.

For a diff reason though. Walk into my public space toting an AR & I mark you as a potential threat. Come into my public space wearing that shirt, I jut mark you as a dumb azz. Yep free country but expect some ridicule when you do stupid stuff in public.

This is an open carry debate thread in disguise. Like open carrying without open carrying, by disguising it by wearing a shirt with a gun on it.

Discretion is the better part of not provoking some drunk cretin till I am forced to use my gun. Which I would be advertising with a shirt like that.
I wouldn't worry about "shoot me first", but rather the inebriated "Oh, you think you're tough, huh?"
Low profile for me. Safer for everybody.
But then I don't ride a bike either.

My guess is that the message on the shirt is directed at motorists more than would be criminals. When you are riding 18 pounds of carbon fiber and surrounded by people driving 5000 pounds of steel and looking at their phones, a message like that *might* get people's attention better than the usual shirt that says something like "5 feet please".

Right I see a lot of those bikers up here ridding around the lake, they cause their own problems.
While I'm not condoning violence if a biker with a shirt like that gets involved the person that runs him off the road will do it so diligently and successfully that the gun he has will be impressed about 6'' into his body, along with a few bike parts.

Not really...he could be bluffing. Just like a guy who threatened me once while reaching into his jacket. Froze in his tracks when he saw my hand on that glock 23. He didn't see THAT coming!

A quick search of the board yields 5,400 results for “concealed carry open carry”. They rarely go well, so let’s agree to disagree.
