Default Vaultek LifePod 2.0 review and thoughts

I purchased a LifePod 2.0 about two weeks ago with the intention of storing one or two handguns for quick (relatively quick) access at home. Our first grandchild is five weeks old, and we are childproofing our home. I am happy with it so far.
Some thoughts:
- It comes with pluck foam; I don’t really care for it and have two sheets of 1” thick 12”x12” Polyethylene coming. I want to configure one for just my S&W CSX and one for the CSX and my FNX 40.
- It is 2.125” deep inside. With my CSX blow the Tray (optional) it barely fits and touches the tray just enough to lift it, but you can close it. Since I have the lid organizer, I will likely not use the tray.
- I made one range trip and it was convenient for transporting a firearm, locked, unloaded in the cab of my pickup. I normally take more the one gun and to legally transport them they must be unloaded and locked or separated from the driver space (If I understand the CT rules correctly). Other than a carry gun on your person.
- I routinely carry either a Kel-Tec 380 (summer, I know Kel-Tec) or a CS-45 when I have a cover garment. I purchased the CSX with the intention of making it my full time carry gun. Like everyone else - I need Mags!
- It fits in my EDC Backpack, a GoRuck GR1, but takes substantial room. Because of this, I may purchase the smaller/original LifePod for just one handgun. I did a few GoRuck events, if you are missing being in Boot Camp go for it.
- One of the main reasons I purchased it is for the times when I must leave my weapon in my car to go into a place with a ban. It has a cable which can be attached to a seat frame or other structure. I know many people carry in banned areas, but I choose not to.
-How secure is it? I think it would be hard to take without tools like a bolt cutter or power tool.
- The holster is one I’ve had from the NRA and works pretty well. I have a crossbreed on the way.
- The Surefire 6P has a LED conversion by Malkoff which is about 400 lumens.

I’m happy to answer any questions or hear from others that have these.
