Some observations on the Bodyguard 2.0

are we talking gun accuracy here or shooter accuracy? I bet it will group just fine on a rest. Whether one can shoot it that well is another story, certainly the smaller the gun the harder it is to shoot accurately. Sight radius, grip, etc.

It’s obvious to me that the comments here are about both “gun accuracy” and “shooter accuracy”. There are comments and experiences from many BG2 owners and coupled with my own experience, there appears to be an issue with the front and rear sights out of the box for proper sight alignment on too many BG2s. I don’t need to put a pistol on a bench and shoot 10 or 12 rounds at 4 to 7 yards to see where the bullets are landing on the target from my point of aim. Sighting in or firing a firearm from a bench will typically always produce the most accurate POA and POI.

Old man eye accuracy... doesn't matter if the gun/sights are accurate or shooter skills are accurate....if I can't even see the rear sights then nothing else matters

I need some sort of white dots or line or glowy point on the rear sight or else my eyes can't pick it up. It all blends in with the top if the slide and I can't tell what is slide and what is rear sight.

I'm no digital graphics artist, so this is best I could do, but 1st pic is close to what I see...the 2 sides of the rear sight blur out and just blend into what is the slide and what's downrange...if I had a 2-dot rear sight then I imagine Inwould see a sight picture like the 2nd graphic.

This handgun could have been the top gun of pocket carries. It feels great in my hand. I can get at least 6 out of 10 rounds in the A and C zones with rapid fire at 7 yards. It’s about as good as gets for size and weight in a highly concealable firearm for a 380 ACP.

BUT… I’m very disappointed in the sights, the slide is too hard to rack, the trigger safety is not as safe as it should be, my trigger pull is at 2 pounds 8.48 ounces after about 200 rounds, a tad light for my comfort in a pocket carry, and it bites my finger.

Now… the poor quality control issues, the poor design of the guide rod and spring assembly, and unacceptable customer service, is not what I expected, arguably, from one of the 5 top firearm manufacturers on the planet. I’ve been a gun owner since 1977. During the past 4 years I have visited the range at least once a month and I’ve shot over 30 different handguns. That’s just my worthless opinion and experience from owning just one S&W Bodyguard 2.0 purchased in August.

Sugarpuss’s P365 has tritium front and back. At night they glow very brightly. That little pistol is very easy for this 64 year old to shoot. I’m thinking about getting one for myself.

My P365 Micro has never failed after over a total of 500 rounds of a combination of 17 different bullets. The upgrades are a Lima365 Trigger Guard Laser, High Contrast rear sight, and MagGuts +2 conversion for two (2) 14 round mags. With a 14 round mag it weighs 1 lbs. 9.8 ozs. In a pocket or in my OWB it constantly lets me know it’s there. The BG2 with 11 rounds weights 15.6 ozs. Holstered in a Muddy River Kydex, in my pocket, it becomes nearly unnoticeable. As a highly concealable, short range, self defense pocket carry, I want this to be my first choice. However, reliability and carry safety are the two biggest factors in my decision.

My new B/G 2,0 shoots right on never missed a beat yet , do have one 10 rd mag that doesn`t want to lock slide back , for me it shoots like a big gun .

A larger front dot would solve nearly all the sight complaints.
A BG1.0 rear sight gives a great sight picture on the 2.0, but a bigger front dot would be even better.
