Revolver....Yeah!

Holster.....Nah!

That beauty deservers leather!

Congrats!

,

I get it. But, Kydex is a lot easier on the gun for appendix carry. All the movement and rubbing in a leather holster wears the finish. Kydex is easier on the gun in that regard. But, and perhaps most important, the Kydex does not retain moisture. It gets sort of swampy in the appendix area during North Carolina late spring and summer. Something that’s not going to absorb moisture works best.

Where did you get the Kydex for the Cobra? There are not many, if at all, Kydex holsters for different revolvers. I have one Kydex (semi-auto) and it's slicker than snot to draw the firearm.

Nice Cobra, BTW.

It's sort of a long story. I got really irritated at the lack of Kydex appendix carry for Colt D Frames and spoke with somebody at Colt / CZ. They turned me onto Craft Holster, a Slovakian company, and we arranged to have a couple Colt D frame appendix carry holsters made to my requirements....one for older Colt D Frames and another for 2017 - Present D Frames (the trigger guard is different). They are great. However, I had to add the DCC clip myself. I am so happy with the product that we are making two more AIWB holsters...one for 2" K Frames and another for 2.5" Model 19/66. Should be here in about a month.

For J frames...Forged-Tec makes the best J Frame AIWB holster, in my opinion. The PHLster City Special is nice too, but I strongly prefer a DCC clip over the cylinder than a single hook close to the wing/claw.

Here’s the Forged-Tec for J Frame.

Please, if going old school, go old school!

Model 22-4 in a Sunday Scabbard, and a custom 45 ACP, Model 28-2, also in a Sunday Scabbard!

You, sir, are a certified old school pimp. Very nice. Wouldn't mind seeing more of / hearing about the custom .45 ACP Model 28-2. Swap at Model 25 cylinder?

Yep. It's a 1958 DS that I bought in fairly rough shape. I had it hard chromed and then tuned by Grant Cunningham.

It’s concealed carry right, no one is supposed to see it? You have the perfect solution for yourself, you chose wisely.

Awesome! But WHY IN THE HECK are you putting a nice old Colt with great bluing into a kydex holster!

NCbeagle great old Colt Cobra you have there. I like the pachmayr compac grips as well, yup your right total old school indeed. I'd EDC that setup proudly too. Who made the kydex holster for your Colt?

Colt DS

Xfuzz nice combo 3rd series DS with 2nd series stocks and the vintage Lewis cross draw holster like Joe Friday wore. Holster marked 38 2C ? Picked up a leather Lewis IWB holster marked Lewis Calif. 2 that fits the DS perfectly, a S&W J frame is a little loose. Holster is in excellent condition shows little sign of use.
