J Frame Snub Owners: What is your favorite EDC Holster?
Just a question of curiosity here ...
What is your favorite everyday carry method & holster?
As for myself, hands down, I love the (front) pocket carry method & holster. Certainly, my Scandium / Ti 360 PD makes it an obvious choice due to its ultra-light weight and compactness.
Albeit, my S&W 360 PD has an exposed hammer spur and you would think it's a hindering feature for pocket carry, but I have overcome this issue through daily training and drilling myself to death to block the hammer spur with my drawing hand's thumb.
As a result, I now have a draw that is smooth and consistent; however, I do believe that a well-designed holster will help mitigate drag and enable you to have a smooth draw.
My favorite holster is the Mika Pocket Holster. It works extremely well as there is virtually no hang-up when drawing the spurred revolver from the pocket. I am probably the in the minority here, as I prefer the SA/DA snub over the DA-only snub. There are many reasons for this, but I am sure that I am one of the very few who do.

That's a Galco nylon or similar material rig that I have carried for years. I have tried a variety of other holsters and always found them too large or stiff inside my pocket, especially leather pocket holsters.
But ask me again in a couple of weeks, after my Mika pocket holster arrives. I do think my answer will have changed.
BUT!
When I carry my Walther CCP (alternate EDC; no picture of that holster) in a pocket it goes into a Remora pocket holster. That's an excellent fit plus, if I am inclined, I can discretely take the whole thing out of my pocket and turn it into an IWB in a matter of seconds. It stays right where I put it!

I've been using a Galco horsehide for about 8 years. Bought it used on the forum. It is finally showing some wear: the rough hide is getting shiny at the widest point on the cylinder. Clings to the pocket, not the gun. I think it will outlast me. For the rare times I carry IWB I like a Backwoods 101 clip. Either works well with my M642 or M38.

El Paso Saddlery looped OWB -

Hugs tight. Very convenient during certain "sit down" situations when you're out & about.

337PD in an old Uncle Mikes pocket holster.
For walking the Dog it's Cargo shorts carry on hot summer days.
Otherwise I dress around my 3913.

Daily a SoftArmor #3 (a Sticky type that works for pocket or, in a pinch, IWB).
Long drives or hiking, a Master’s Holsters OWB crossdraw (got on ebay).

It's a Desantis super fly in my front right pocket for my 442 and model 36 and sometimes I'll carry one of my 3 in model 36s that way too.

I pocket carry and it depends on what kind of pants I have on. For suit pants I use the Mika round; for Levis the Mika square; and for large pocket cargos I use the DeSantis Nemesis.

I got one of those for my 380. Like it a lot. Got mine used. They are expensive new. They do add to the payload in your pocket.

Kramer pocket holster
Been carrying this Mod 38-2 for over 20 years in this offside Kramer horsehide pocket holster.
How's that old phrase go? "Don't leave home without it"

Great setup you got there SmithNut. Very nice! ;-) I've been wanting to get myself a Kramer Pocket Holster for the longest time. What the H**, I think will order myself two holsters. One for each pocket. I too, pocket carry off-side as well. It's a rarity for me to carry the dominant side, but sometimes necessary.

Having tried several, I settled on the Uncle Mike’s pocket holster years ago. It’s far from fancy, but it works for me.

Here's Mine!
S&W Model 38 Bodyguard Airweight early 80's vintage.
The Hogue grips take all the work out of it. They are not sticky being a hard polymer. They control the recoil beautifully and are easy to get hold of in the pocket. The stock wood grips are smaller but provide no advantage in concealment.
The cylinder is filled with 158 grain LSWC.
Reloads from the strips or the speed loader did not work because of the sharp edges of the wadcutters, so I use round nose or FMC for that.
The Uncle Mikes holster does not work in tight jeans, but I mostly wear chinos. Today it was so hot my pocket and the holster got sweaty.
I put it in the left front pocket and stand around with my hand in that pocket all the time. It comes out first and it is also the fastest draw. After it is spent I drop it and pull the 45 in my strong side pancake holster, as has been taught by Mas Ayoob in his video on the Wilson Combat YouTube channel called "The New York Reload".

I don't carry a J Frame often, but when I do it's either in a Galco Ankle Glove or a Lobo #1 Pancake OWB. I'm really fond of my Lobo Pancake.

#1 FAVORITE / POCKET CARRY
My favorite / most common holster is an unnamed horsehide pocket dealio I bought used over the internet. Been using it nigh on 15 years for pocket carry. All the contact points on the outside have been polished to a sheen.
#2 STRONG SIDE OWB
Aker 137 J-2 Bodyguard Revolver Pancake Holster, with the trigger/thumb snap retention. Better & more robust than the Desantis equivalent, which is serviceable.
(I own a Simply Rugged pancake holster for my J-frames, but it is harder to get a good grip on the butt in a hurry. The leather that comes up and gives the gun good protection & retention also retards the draw a bit. Love the construction, though.)
#3 CROSS-DRAW / AOWB
I had snubbyfan build me a J-frame cross-draw holster and it serves that purpose just fine. But I wear it more as AOWB than as cross-draw. (AOWB= Appendix Outside the Waist Band). AIWB works fine for my larger pistols, but the snubbyfan X-AOWB works better for appendix-location carry for a snubby J-frame.

I’m a smaller guy so pocket carry for me is other options. My J frame (649-3) resides in a kangaroo carry over a t-shirt under button down ready for a Superman draw in an emergency (short sleeve summer, long sleeve winter) 365 if chosen…works for me every where but work, never knowing what position I may be in as an electrician.

I seldom carry a gun on my person anymore, but several years ago bought a Mika pocket holster. It works well with any snubnose Chief (if your pockets aren't too small) and the gun doesn't shift around.

I appreciate all you folks who pocket carry. I gave it a serious trial
because all of you are so convinced it's the best for you. Didn't
work for me.
Lobo Gun Leather Enhanced Pancake, strong side, 4 o'clock. Easy.
I always wear a vest.

"NY reload?"
@ Onmea ...
Great question. Thanks for asking.
As for a NY Re-Load that would be no... However, I am a minimalist by nature, to say the least, and I don't carry many things in terms of edc. I feel a greater amount of mobility and power when I carry the opposite of the dominant side. I am an equal shot either left or right. I am a firm believer in great physical dexterity and related skill sets.

I rarely ccw a revolver, but when I do it’s in a plain, old Fobus OWB paddle under a shirt.
