That pesky Remington XP-100

Bought one new in 7mm BR way back, wanted an upgrade to my
Unlimited IHMSA gun. Upgraded the irons, and had it
rechambered to 7mm-08.
What a fine shooting firearm, crazy accurate.

Some years went by and the IHMSA range went bye bye.

This is how it looks today, and still crazy accurate.

I finally dug up a picture of mine:

Pat, I have been thinking of adding a Harris bipod to my XP's plastic stock as you show in your photo. This would allow me to shoot the gun in IHMSA practical hunter class.
What sort of an adapter did you use to accomplish it?
I have been concerned that the plastic stock might not withstand the recoil forces placed on it by using a bipod, but apparently you have not had a problem. Any info you can provide would be appreciated.

Hello,

I'm searching for an external breech retainer for a Remington XP 100 pistol.
Do you when i can find this parts,
Best Regards,

Antoine

Antoine, When I bought my XP-100, those two holes were filled with plug screws. I assumed they were intended by the designers for use with a rear sight block. My gun does not appear to have an external breech retainer.
What is the purpose of the retainer?
