I know this is a S&W site but I've looked at several pocket .380 pistols and like the Ruger better than the others.

My question is: Of those who own one would you mind sharing the pros and cons from your point of view.

Thanks in advance,

Sir, I absolutely love mine, always have. I love my Smith's too, but Ruger hit it home with the LCP. If the new LC9 was exactly the same except for caliber, I would have one of them too. I bought mine when the first came out, so no S&W was available. Elsie Pee is my everyday carry around girl friend. I have the DeSantis pocket holster. As far as the caliber, we are 300 plus days of Sunshine in Florida, and with a well placed shot, and chances are only going through a t-shirt, I never feel its not enough. I actually prefer the DAO for my semi's too, so its perfect for me. No safety's, you can see if a round is in chamber, but NO goofy flag or other distraction, just a small port opening. Use only RUGER magazines, and you will love her too!! To be fair, look at the Bodyguard too. Hope I helped sir, 26

I've had the Keltec P32 and P3AT for several years and so I always thought the Ruger Little Copied Pistol was a waste of money. Why spend $100 more for the same firearm? I was correct then but this is now. Recently I’ve had a chance to spend range time with two LCPs that are owned by friends. Also recently prices have dropped to the point that LCPs and P3ATs are often within $25 of each other. Today the LCPs are just as reliable as the Keltecs and for some reason the LCP fits my hand better. There is not enough difference to make me change my P3AT for a LCP but if I had neither and was buying new tomorrow I’d probably spend the extra $25 and buy a LCP.
