Mec-Gar metal magazine for Glock

What do you think about the new Mac-Gar magazines for Glock? They don't have the plastic cover like the original ones and some say they ruin the release button. I tried to buy one and looked at it carefully and it doesn't seem to have any sharp parts that could ruin the release button. Do you think I should get the original magazine?

Many manufactures spec Met-Gar for their factory mags; they are one of the best in the industry. However, for Glock I prefer the ubiquitous, plastic factory mags, merely because they work and they’re cheap.

And the even cheaper Magpul mags have been perfect for me.

True, I have a few of those and they work great. The only thing I don’t like about them is no witness holes.

I have had good results with Shield 15 round Metal Mags in my Glock 43x.
They came with a metal mag release which is recommended for the metal magazines.

Med-Gar makes outstanding magazines. But I have never tried their Glock magazines.

The only aftermarket magazines that I trust completely is Magpul. I have thousands of rounds through several of them. No problems.
