Either way, very nice. Especially one made by one of the rarer manufacturers.
May I ask what you got it for?
And very nice deal on the SIG, congrats.

OTD @ $1150, including 150 rounds of 110 grain FMJ.
The pawnshop was just putting it out when I came in, had it labeled as an Underwood as that's the barrel (which is correct for a 1944 Standard Products). That, and the condition were the first things I saw. So I put deposit to hold it.
Came back with Reisch's reference book a couple of days later, removed stock, and went over it with a magnifying glass and a bore light. ( I've bought a few guns there). 100% GI parts and correct for SP. I thought the safety was unusual too, but I've seen some where that was unchanged during post war rebuild. Guess if it ain't broke...
And yes, it takes 30 rounders.
Highly recommend Craig Reisch's book, GREAT reference if you want to avoid pitfalls on M1 Carbines, and a pretty good read on their use.
Here's a couple more for your viewing pleasure...

May 5th, I bought a Henry pump .22lr, on 5/27 I bought a Taurus TX-22 (my first Taurus) and then on 6/2 I got lucky and picked up the new Sig P322. I think I scratched my itch for 22lr for awhile.

Whew! It was a expensive weekend for me.
On Saturday I ordered a barrel so I can complete a AR build.
Then on Sunday I brought a Taylor Uberti 1873 Cattlemen 32-20 with 4.75” barrel. The 32-20 is my favorite cartridge and a easy packing pistol will be nice here on the farm.

My latest, a Walther P5. A very unique and complex gun. Shoots great, but took a little getting used to the left side ejection port.

Picked up some VZ Hydra grips for my SP101. I’ve tried a lot of aftermarket grips for this gun and these are by far the best for CCW IMHO. Perfect size, shape and texture.

In November of 2020, I posted looking for all metal 9mm single stack pistol options. Ladder13 posted a picture of his CZ 75D Compact. A couple of nights ago, I was looking at that post. I found the CZ 75 Compact to be rather nice looking and started reading up on it. Today, I went looking hoping just to fondle one. “Unfortunately “, I found one. It came home with me. Can’t wait to shoot it!

This M38 I picked up last month and just got around to shooting. It works well with either the FBI load or the Gold Dot 135gr. Short Barrel. Trying to decide between switching it out with the 642 in a Galco horsehide pocket holster or picking up a Barami Hip grip.

Armalite AR10
3 Gun version with Timney 4 pound trigger, Luth MBA -1 Stock, Adjustable Gas Block, Adjustable Muzzle Break.
13.5" - pin & welded for 16" OAL - barrel is Armalites Stainless Steel Match Barrel. These always came with Key Mod Handgaurd but, this one has an M-Lok Handgaurd.
So far, I really like it. I had a .223 Wylde version and it was awesome too. Comes with 1 25rd Mag. No flip up sights.

Went to the little "swapmeet" at my gun club a couple weeks ago. Usually go buy a table, to support the club, sell some ammo or things I dont use anymore. Not really looking for any guns, have enough I dont shoot. However after being there about 3 hours, i got up to walk around. Little table in the corner I saw this. Wanted one for a long time to go with my other full lug models. Had given up now that the price has gone crazy. Nice shape, hardly shot, no box or anything, but when he said 550, I jumped on it. Cute lil bugger. 36-6, 3" 617 made.

As a law abiding tax paying Canadian citizen I have purchased a colt single action army in 44spl
As a citizen of the world I have learned a healthy disrespect for the thoughts of those that oppose my personal views
Who can help us ?

Finally got a Kit Gun. Model 34-1 22/32 regular 4" square butt. I have wanted one for years and usually pass due to condition. This one looked nice, the price wasn't horrible, and it had a few extras. It is 1981 vintage thanks to the good folks on here!

A week ago Saturday I sold 2 Glocks and picked up a 1990 WG Sig P225. Last Saturday sold another Glock and picked up 2 model 66-2 2 1/2 inch. That makes a total of 8 model 66's. I cannot seem to walk by those old snubbies.

After chasing auctions on target .22s for a couple of months, I finally landed a Hammerli 208.
Only had time for a couple quick mags at the indoor range where I picked it up today. Definitely shoots better than me... there was a time when I could hold the X ring, but that was a few decades ago!
I still think I can tighten things up a bit as I get used to it. The grips aren't a great fit... need to look into that.

When I picked up my new kit gun the other day I couldn't pass on this. My first handgun was a Ruger Standard back when I was 14. this one clicked for me.

July 3rd, I won my first GB auction. 940 ND, and today I found 3 WC 10mm mags at Spulock’s in Henderson. Pretty fruitful holiday weekend. I’ve always resisted buying guns online, because I like the hunt. However, after several years and never seeing one in the wild, I capitulated.
